My Holiday's Holiday

I only found time to play some computer games. On one of my rare ventures out of that prison of assements and homework, I went to the Cathay Cinneplex (maybe the most boring place on earth other than school), I blinked furiously, trying to get used to the light-I was only used to the darkness. But what can you expect from someone who's half dead from holidaying and homework? I think holidays are just a waste of precious time. You take a holiday and come back even more tired. So,why bother taking holiday? (I don't care if you think I'm mad.)

The ?uestion

I do not think that we should love objects more than family, although I think many of us have regarded objects to be more important than family at one point or another. Family is obviously more important than almost everything. We occasionally tend to forget this important fact, usually when we are angry with a family member. Sometimes we use objects to console ourselves after a bad fight, and and it is usually during these times when we become more attached to that object, but we should not love an object more than family no matter how high the stance is in the air. There are times when we do reach our boiling point, and it is during those times we should not forget what that/those individual(s) has done for us.

Dreams

I do wish that I can go around the world instead of studying. And yes, although the teacher does get a load of cold, hard cash, we forget how it is earned. Teachers do not get it for free. They always have to meet datelines. Just like us, everything has to be completed on time. I feel that the holidays are too short for us to turn dreams into reality =( . However, we should still wake up and strive to do our best. We can try to fulfil our ambitions, but in order to do that, we must firstly improve in our studies. And with that,I wish everybody good luck in their studies.

Camp

I kind of liked camp. My trainer was Trainer Bernice(very good-never scolded us.) I liked the horizontal playground the most. Although it was very challenging it was also quite fun. From afar, it looked easy but it was actually very difficult. I thought the camp food was quite nice, but the first meal was way disgusting to describe. However, the A-huts were okay but usually a stray clothing would drop through the top bunk. I hated abseiling 100%. My best experience at camp was the campfire. Even after the campfire was put out and declared over, it started burning again on the ashes. Like the fire, I feel that we should not give up easily. Mostly, the camp was all fun, but the worst day has got to be the third day, because we had to do area cleanup and the corridor was filled with filth and had bra... everywhere. Basically, camp thought us how to appreciate what we are blessed with.

Cats Sleep Anywhere

Cats sleep anywhere, any table, any chair.Top of piano, window-ledge, in the middle, on the edge.Open draw, empty shoe, anybody's lap will do.Fitted in a cardboard box, in the cupboard with your frocks.Anywhere! They don't care! Cats sleep anywhere!Eleanor Farjeon (1881 - 1965)

My Hobbies

My hobbies are reading books(mainly non-fictional murder books). Reading is a good way of keeping one occupied, as it also can be very educational. However, I usually become too engrossed in my book till I forget to put it down. Unfortunately, like everything else, reading also has it's downsides and it's upsides. Children of today's generation rarely bother to read educational books. I am not opposing against reading these books, but I am just suggesting an alternative to these books. Another hobby of mine is playing computer games, which is ,unfortunately a quick way to get oneself into trouble nowadays.

Mixed Feelings

I personally feel that we students nowadays are laden with lots of pressure as we are usually given almost impossible-to-reach targets in tests and examinations, especially in our weak subjects.Other students may not share the same view as me because they might have had a different teacher last year or the year before. However, that does not mean we should restrict ourselves from doing well,it gives us all the more reason to strive for the best and to exceed our limits and go past our boundaries. It is not what is poured into a child that matters, but what is planted that counts.
